Amber
Podcast Producer
As Novelly's first-ever podcast producer, Amber created the blueprint for how we produce the Read to Heal podcast. Her focus on community-building with the podcast hosts helped her create a safe space for courageous conversations about race, gender, and sexuality using novellas from the Novelly Library as an anchor for each discussion. Amber's attention to detail and ambition guided her through learning new software, honing her leadership skills, and publishing a polished podcast series on Novelly's new YouTube channel.

Shantelle
Product Director
As a part of her role as Product Director, Shantelle coordinated the launch of the Novelly web app, including ideation & planning, design, user testing, implementation, deployment, and product analysis. Anna
Founder/CEO
"I've had the privilege of knowing Shantelle since she was in high school and first got involved with Novelly. When I first met her, I had no idea she'd go on to professionally manage our product team and successfully launch our web app in 2021. Shantelle grew into a team member with whom I trusted key decisions at Novelly, not just about product but also about strategy, hiring, and marketing. When I watched her give the UX/UI designer in-depth feedback and create a spec, I fully realized how she had developed so many skills."
Operations Manager
"Working with our Season 1 Podcast Producer, Amber, was one of my all-time favorite professional projects. Amber grew so much personally and professionally. She built the Read to Heal podcast from scratch which included hosting team-building events for our podcast hosts, learning how to record in Riverside, editing in Final Cut Pro, and designing video frames in Figma. At the end of her internship, she was absolutely glowing with newfound confidence. Plus she had a new set of skills to add to her resume!"
Laura
Program Manager
"I'm grateful to be able to work with Katie, our Curriculum Director. She has been instrumental in the seamless planning of our Rising Voices Collective and SPEAK! programs. She approaches every task with so much creativity and diligence, and I've been so impressed by her independence. I'm looking forward to seeing her continue to grow throughout the directorship program, and I'm confident she will leave the program feeling more prepared for any career she pursues."
